About The Show:

People Acting Like Lawyers and Mostly Malarkey is a podcast featuring professionals in the legal field who discuss various topics to include typical issues faced by lawyers, clients and paralegals.  The episodes are for entertainment purposes only and do not contain legal advice or answers for the general public, and the statements made by the co-hosts or guest speakers may not represent the views of the podcast hosts or of Manning Media.  Lawyers on the podcast may engage in venting, drinking spirits and other shenanigans within an episode, and for this reason, listener discretion is strongly advised.  This podcast is strictly for entertainment purposes, and it is intended for mature audiences (age 21 and older).

About The Hosts:

Lawyer Laura “Meg” Duncan has practiced law in Maryland over 11 years and has a soft spot for the underdog. She’s endured the stress of a family legal battle herself, and for this reason, resonates with Americans who find themselves in a legal dispute and in need of counsel, when all they really want to do is get back to living their lives in peace and pursuing their personal goals.  “Meg” enjoys being a Professor of Law and Attorney in Frederick County and emphasizes the importance of taking time out to laugh, reflect and be in the company of good friends.  Attorney Devin Luqman is a successful law firm owner practicing immigration law and selected criminal defense cases, and his sense of humor is utterly contagious.  The podcast serves as a platform upon which Meg and Devin can unwind and talk about their week, the law, cases, and what lawyers do.  It’s a means for listeners to get the inside scoop on People Acting Like Lawyers.  According to Shakespeare, “all the World is a stage and all the men and women merely players,” and one man (or woman) “plays many parts” in their time upon this Earth.
