Melissa DiMercurio Bio; Girl Boss Assembly Podcast Host  

A native new yorker turned Hagerstownian at just the age of 8, Melissa grew up in the DMV area with big dreams to be a corporate girl boss.  

After twelve years of experience working at the top marketing agencies across the country, Melissa founded and became the CEO of her own small business, Curves Ahead Co.  

Melissa’s coaching company supports women entrepreneurs in navigating all the curves ahead of marketing and promoting their growing business with in-person and virtual workshops, digital courses and group coaching packages. In May 2024, she launched the Girl Boss Assembly, a small business conference, with the help of her partner-in-crime, Chandra Metz, that had the town buzzing with girl power energy! 

Melissa also started the Girl Boss Membership that incorporates a Girl Boss Marketplace giving women entrepreneurs an opportunity to work with a marketing coach in the field. Melissa guides her Girl Bosses to promote their business and put their best foot forward as they participate in annual pop-up circuits and events every year. 

Melissa lives in Clarksburg, Maryland in a condo with her boyfriend, Danny, and two tuxedo kitties, Retta and Raine.

Chandra Metz Bio; Girl Boss Assembly Co-Host  

An only child hailing from the great state of Texas, Chandra has called Washington County “home” since she moved to Maryland in 2007. Chandra’s personal motto is that she never engages with strangers, just friends she hasn’t met yet.  

With a diverse background of experience in customer service and hospitality, Chandra is the Special Events and Sponsorship Manager at Curves Ahead Co., working alongside Melissa DiMercurio to run all the logistics of the Girl Boss Assembly each year.  

Chandra also supports her family’s lawn care small business, C & M Lawns.  

Outside of the business world, Chandra and her husband, Martin, stay busy running their household of 7 which includes 4 kids, an Uncle Bob, and 2 cats – Ryker & Geordie.
